Shirley Whyte is a Scottish singer songwriter and self-taught musician
and is recognized for her varied use of vocals and harmonies expressed
by the feeling that is portrayed in her songs and music, which in her first album release, includes a varied selection of
Celtic Rock, Blues and pop with haunting sounds of Celtic pipes and
Irish whistles.
Born Shirley Hutchison (6 February 1969) Aberdeen Scotland into a
musical family, her first encounter with an audience came at an early
age of 15 at local folk clubs.
After marrying young at 18 and two children later, she committed her
time to family life, work, and raising her children (who she later
introduced to music)

After years of rest periods from music, with support and
persuasion from her family, decided with the inspiration from being a
grandmother, to compose and write her own original material.
Using social media as a platform to air some of her original songs,
was then discovered by a local radio station, and songwriters, since then, she
has went on to collaborate with other songwriters/ musicians from USA, Australia, and Belgium.
Her music page has grown in time and has a

varied fanbase from songwriters to musicians and fans from far and wide.
In the short space of two years, from writing her very first song she
released her first album, with help from her son Kevin Whyte,
who plays an array of instruments, and friends in music, Lynn
Sangster (bass) and Kenny Field (drums)
Together they worked on her first album of varied original songs and
music, truly something for every listener. Since releasing her first album, Shirley continues to release her original music, and independently self produces her own work as an indie artist.
