Shirley Whyte is a Scottish singer songwriter and self-taught musician
she is recognized for her varied use of vocals and harmonies expressed
by the feeling that is portrayed in her songs and music, which include:
Gritty rock, blues and pop with subtle flavors of Celtic pipes and

musical family, her first encounter with an audience came at an early
age of 15 at local folk clubs.
After marrying young at 18 and two children later, she committed her
time to family life, work, and raising her children (who she later
introduced to music)
At 47, and years of rest periods from music, with support and
persuasion from her family, decided with inspiration from being a
grandmother to compose and write her own original material from home.
After using social media as a platform to air some of her original songs
was discovered by a local radio station and other songwriters, since she
has now went on to collaborate with from USA and Belgium.
Her organic music page has now grown in the short time and has a
varied fanbase from songwriters to musicians from around the globe
and organic fans.
In the space of two years from writing the first song she has
independently self-funded her first new album, with help from her son
who plays an array of instruments, and her friends in music, Lynn
Sangster (bass) and Kenny Field (drums)
Together they have worked on this collection of original songs and
music, truly something for every listener!
